area manager - kuala lumpur

about the role:


a dynamic and rapidly expanding fitness company with a significant presence in malaysia's vibrant fitness industry, with ambitious expansion plans. 


position overview:


we are seeking an experienced area manager to oversee a cluster of clubs in kuala lumpur. the successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, maintaining operational standards, and leading a large team across multiple locations while ensuring exceptional member experiences across all clubs.


key responsibilities:


• strategic leadership: drive business performance across all clubs, implementing growth strategies and ensuring achievement of kpis including membership sales, revenue targets, and operational efficiency

• multi-site management: oversee daily operations across all locations, ensuring consistent delivery of premium services and maintaining high standards of facility maintenance and presentation

• financial performance: manage p&l for all six clubs, with responsibility for budget planning, cost control, and revenue optimization across multiple revenue streams

• team development: lead and mentor a team of club managers and their staff (200+ employees total), fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring effective training programs

• business growth: identify and implement opportunities for revenue growth, membership retention, and market share expansion across the cluster

• quality control: maintain consistent service standards, implement sops, and ensure compliance with company policies across all locations


requirements:


• minimum 8 years of experience in fitness industry operations, with at least 3 years in multi-site management

• proven track record in managing p&l for multiple locations

• strong leadership abilities with experience managing large teams across different locations

• excellence in stakeholder management and communication

• fluent in english and ideally bahasa malaysia

• willing to travel between locations within Kuala lumpur


the ideal candidate will have:


* experience in the malaysian fitness industry

* strong understanding of local market dynamics and consumer behavior

* track record of successful business growth in competitive markets

* experience in new club openings and operational setup

* advanced analytical and problem-solving skills


compensation & benefits:


• basic salary: rm20,000 per month

• performance bonuses based on kpi achievement
